Thanks for the reply. I decided not to go with the Starling, even if it can handle the typsetting process adequately. I think I would find the small screen too frustrating.

Can Starling handle math typesetting (20 pages or so) using Kile + Okular?

After fruitless hours, I solved the problem by ---- turning off the router, and then back on again.
It restored the internet connection.

I installed a dual boot with Windows 7 and Ubuntu 64bit. Sound worked fine with

I downloaded three versions of ubuntu: 10.04 32bit, 10.04.1 32bit, and 10.04.1 64 bit,
and successfully (I think) burned them to disk.
